the brief

1300 Australia, formerly Telstra Phonewords, is Australia’s largest supplier of phone words – with 1300 Numbers, 1800 numbers and 13 numbers to help make business contact details more memorable.

As the first part of their rebranding and business expansion plans, 1300 Australia tasked us with developing a new brand code in the form of a logo and tag line.

the idea

The new logo was born out of the promise that phonewords are less forgettable than numbers, and small businesses are easier to remember with a phoneword of their own.
