Mad Men make $31,500 for the Lighthouse Foundation
The Annual Advertising Art Auction is firmly back on the event calendar, with a great night that raised an amazing $31,500 for The Lighthouse Foundation, as well as the creative profile of the advertising industry. The event was organised and promoted by Fenton Stephens Advertising who are keen to make the annual auction a success for the Lighthouse Foundation.
We had a great level of support from artists and creative minds in the industry, with over 80 pieces generously donated from around Australia. Works were donated by creative talent from; M&C Saatchi, Whybin TBWA, DDB Melbourne, The Furnace Sydney, CI Studios, Fenton Stephens Advertising and Ken Done. Auctioneer Martin Farrah, from Menzies Art Brands got the crowd in the spending mood with $18,400 raised in the 45 minute live auction.
Fysh Rutherford of Twenty20 did a great job as MC and a special thank you to DDB Melbourne for being so enthusiastic with their bidding on the night.
The Lighthouse Foundation are very pleased with the results: 'We are thrilled to have been involved in this fantastic event again this year. Through the generosity of so many, young people who have been living on the streets can stay safe and secure in a Lighthouse home.'
'Together we have made a lasting difference to the lives of vulnerable kids, and ensured that the cycle of homelessness, violence and abuse has been addressed. Thank You' said Susan Barton AM, Founder of Lighthouse Foundation and 2009 Melburnian of the Year.
Thanks to all our sponsors and supporters for making it such a successful event.
