The word is the image.
Found a great typography website thanks to a link from Creative Review, UK.
It’s a collection of typographical posters with work from design studios around the world. It features a simple scroll navigation menu that lets you choose from a list of designers.
Looked at some black and white work with a reduced graphic sensibility from Thierry blancpain, Switzerland. Particularly liked the William Morris piece.
Hey! Studio, Spain used geometric patterns and a very fresh colour palette to create a certain look. Something about them reminded me of that game I had a child, spirograph.
Family, UK had three posters I enjoyed, each featuring a giant black letter that had transmorphed into typographic bubble images- like a bulbous fleet of sub marine vessels.
Still in the UK, Neville Brody was well represented with some great work for Fuse.
Well worth an explore, www.typographicposters.com
